Background info
Hello! I am a high schooler who is profoundly interested in chemistry, math, computer science, chess and video games!
I was born in Libertyville, Illinois and moved to Lincolnshire when I was 13. I have one younger sister who is currently 13 years old right now and is a great sister by always being calm and kind towards me. I also have a British shorthair cat which I obess over because she is so cute! Her name is Ponyo!
I have not had any major physical, mental or social events in my life yet :).
School
For 6th and 7th grade, my school was Highland Middle School. For 8th grade, my school was Daniel Wright Junior High School. My high school is Adlai E. Stevenson High School.
I would considered myself consistent, smart, talkative, uplifting and funny. Optimism is my main belief as everything is not always purely bad and things can still be fixed or mitigated no matter what. But my most unique trait is my genuine enjoyment of school after 7th grade, especially in high school. I have amazing, helpful teachers and good, funny, supportive classmates that make me feel really excited to go to school everyday. Also my school offers a variety of resources to us students which is another great impetus for loving my school.
Going back to my characterization of myself, my peers and friends would probably agree with this characterization of myself (though my close friends would argue that I’m not a optimism at all). I greatly appreciate my friends and genuinely enjoy texting, calling or hanging out with them. Whether playing volleyball or texting, it is really beneficial to me spending time with them.
Hobbies
I have been invested in math since 5th grade. Math was my favorite subject and every time when my math teacher asked a question, I would always be the first one to raise my hand. Even though my middle school had a ridiculously small math club, both in middle school and in high school I have been a strong member of math club
Similarly, I have always enjoyed computer science and coding in general. I took coding classes online from age 10 to 12 and learned a lot about python and how to create unique programs with it. Unfortunately, my computer science club in my high school (middle school didn’t have one) is very chaotic so I wasn’t in it.
Chess team had the best social interactions out of the clubs listed above. I made many new friends in both middle school and high school chess team especially in sophomore year of high school. This was an amazing experience where I got to show off my chess skills. Although in sophomore year I didn’t make state, I entered as an independent for nationals for my school and placed top 4 (only top 3 scores are counted towards team score) in my national section!
For my passion of video games, I play VALORANT, CS:GO, Hollow Knight, Silksong, Minecraft, a lot of SUPERCELL games and more!
